Why did my DISH Network bill go up?

1. Your promotion or credit expired

New-customer offers often include monthly credits or introductory pricing for 12 to 24 months. When the credit ends, the bill jumps to the regular rate, sometimes overnight. Fix: ask about current retention or loyalty offers, or review whether a different package costs less at the regular rate.

2. Your price guarantee ended

If you signed up with a multi-year price guarantee, your base package price was locked. Once it ends, your package moves to DISH's then-current price. Fix: this is the ideal time for a plan review. See our price guarantee guide.

3. An annual price adjustment

Like most TV providers, DISH adjusts pricing from time to time as programming costs rise. Fix: compare your package with the channels you really watch; a smaller tier may cover you.

4. New equipment or DVR fees

5. Premium channels and add-ons

Movie channels, sports packs, international add-ons and protection plans each carry a monthly charge, and free trials can roll into paid service. Fix: keep the ones you use, drop or rotate the rest.

6. One-time charges

Pay-per-view, on-demand rentals, late fees or service-call charges can make one month look much higher. Fix: review line items; if it's a one-time charge, next month should return to normal.
